One huge benefit of working virtually is being able to bring on great talent outside our location in New York City. The downside, of course, is not being together in the same geography as often as we would like.
That’s one reason our entire Crenshaw Communications team traveled via plane, trains and automobiles to Washington D.C. for three days for the return of our annual company staff retreat. This year’s trip was particularly special because it was the first time many of us have met in person!
The team socialized and bonded at a Washington Nationals baseball game before diving into two days of professional development. Sessions covered practical matters like how to get a fast start on a new account, time management, acting as a strategic partner for clients, crafting the perfect media pitch, and a state-of-the-company from our CEO Dorothy.
We were lucky enough to get a tour of the White House while in town and even caught a glimpse of President Biden’s dog on his morning walk. The trip concluded with a beautiful candlelit dinner at City Winery as we toasted to good company and brainstormed locations for our retreat in 2023!
