Crenshaw Communications, a Mod Op company was recently recognized by the New York Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the Ragan PR Daily Awards for the agency’s work with sales tech provider Chili Piper. The campaign went beyond day-to-day product PR to recognize Chili Piper’s extraordinary work for Ukrainian refugees.
An inbound conversion platform for B2B revenue teams, Chili Piper tasked our team with developing a media relations strategy to generate awareness for its brand as a leader in sales enablement. Knowing that “sales tech” is a low-interest category, we focused on leveraging founder profiles, workplace culture stories and entrepreneurial topics to position Chili Piper as a socially-conscious global business.
When Russia invaded Ukraine, Chili Piper’s Romanian-born cofounder Alina Vandenberghe and her husband Nicholas rushed to help displaced Ukrainians find lodging and other essential resources. Our team moved to spread the word around their initial efforts, which grew from a simple google document into a larger initiative to help thousands of refugees. The story was covered in top-tier outlets like CNBC, Forbes and TechCrunch. Our campaign was a winner in the PRSA 2023 Big Apple Awards in the Online Media Relations category. It was also recognized as a B2B campaign by Ragan’s PR Daily Awards.
